I had another birthday and went on a trip for a few days. What would a girl want for her birthday than a visit to a fabric store?
Joann Fabrics is a must visit on any trip and if the patterns are on sale, that's a bonus! It's the small things that makes one happy.
Now the question is how will these patterns and the previous pattern purchase fit into an overflowing file cabinet?
Squeeeeeeeze 'em in! :)
ReplyDeleteNakisha, I've plans to keep things contained with this craft. You know what I mean--not all over the place and falling down on me. It's hard!
DeleteJust duck! Hahahahaha!
DeleteI hear you. That's what keeps my fabric stashing under control. There are 6 totes and space on the shelves for 6 totes. The fabric must stay contained IN the totes. Not contained? No new fabric.
Nakisha, I'd hate to think that I'll need to use one of the other drawers, which would mean I'll have to sew a drawer filled with fabric. I'm still not contained.
DeleteOh my I don't think I can ever have enough patterns in my life. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, I just wish I could sew faster and try every one of them. It is fun!
DeleteI love the B5947 pattern. Have fun sewing. I can't wait to see what you'll make.
ReplyDeleteI like the tucks on this one.
DeleteWhen you run out of file cabinet space just buy a a pretty storage tub to put them in! Hey, there is always room in a sewing space for new patterns! Happy stitching, Dorothy.
ReplyDeleteRegina, you're helping me enjoy this!

ReplyDeleteDorothy, when I outgrew my filing cabinet, I bought a square cane basket to put the next lot of patterns in. Then another container! So now I have filed patterns and basket labelled McCalls, Vogue, Burda etc :) Just enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSarah, thanks for encouraging me to keep them coming. You know it's hard to stop making these purchases when they are continuously creating new looks.
DeleteDorothy..
ReplyDeleteHappy Late Birthday!! I can't think of a better way to spend it, than visiting a fabric store.. [and finding patterns on sale, is just the icing on the cake.ha]
Love all your new patterns, and can't wait to see what you will sew next..have fun..

ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Thanks Hana!
Deletewhat a great way to spend a birthday! let me stir the pot just a little more lol! Hancocks starts their pattern sale today! it's rainey & dreary here today but I don't think that will hold me back lol! Happy sewing Dot!
ReplyDeleteHelen
Helen thanks for the birthday wish! You're naughty for this, but the blessing is I'm one hour and fifteen minutes either way from a Joann's and Hancock is a luxury if I should find one. Living in rural Florida puts me at a disadvantage. Therefore, I keep running lists of things that I need for traveling times and I order a lot from the web. Stash! Stash! Stash!
DeleteHappy birthday! If fabric and patterns make you happy, why deny happiness? =)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSounds like you had a happy birthday! I am with you on the excitement of buying new patterns (and trying to find somewhere to fit them into storage...) I love the Butterick 5947, would love to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I did enjoy my birthday. Butterick 5947 dress with the pleats reminds me of a blouse I had in the 80's.
