Not All White

Butterick 5190 loose-fitting, unlined jacket has dropped shoulders and stitched hem.

 

These are the pants from Vogue 8886 from this previous post.The top is Simplicity 1961. I didn't take pictures in my church all white this time. I wouldn't wear this jacket with casual wear because the fabric is so delicate, dainty, and just plain lovely.

I saw this jacket here. 

I only wear this jacket with dresses or with pants as worn on the pattern here. 

 

Fabric: 1 yard of White Embroidered Chiffon Ribbon purchased from Joann Fabrics using my 60% coupon. Polyester lining from Vogue Fabrics.

 

    Sizes: 8 - 24

 

    Alterations: Added lining, snap, and ribbon on right side of jacket at center.

 

Polyester lining was added by cutting the lining fabric using the same pattern pieces.

 

This is an easy pattern. It's one of my favorites.  

Out of the Blue MAGAM Outfit!

Pattern: Vogue 8886 top and pants.

 

Sizes:  8-24

 

Fabric: Royal blue polyester/cotton stretch bottom weight from Fabric Mart

Alterations: Moved zipper from side to front, lengthened the sleeves, removed one inch from the waist to the hem, and added four inches to the length to make sure as to not make them too short.

I really like this pattern which includes a dress. With this fabric there is too deep of a curve in the bust area. It needs to be straightened so as to not ride up above the bust. It was perfect with ITY knit.
The collar stands better on this top than the dress because I used a heavier weight interfacing.

Block Print Dress

Vogue 8886  pattern includes dress, top, and pants. This dress is made of ITY magenta/grape sparkly knit from Fabric Mart.  Sizes 8-24

The zipper was omitted and I decreased the neck to waist by one inch. I do wish I had used a heavier interfacing on the collar. The pattern was very easy and I can't wait to make it again as well as each of the other views. I highly recommend this pattern.
