I like it!

Butterick 3030 view A tunic with a shoulder dart and side slits.  I've had this pattern for a few years, but this is the first time I've made this view. Plans are to make a few more in a shorter length.

Fabric: Lime Scuba Knit from Fabric Mart

I really like this pattern as it is very quick and easy. It's very comfortable!

Two for One

Simplicity 1280 Tunic Top

This is a fun top to make and very comfortable. I just had to make two and there will probably be different versions in the near future. You know it is when you have so man ideas and so many patterns. You quickly move on to the next in line.

There were no alterations made.  I did add some roses that were purchased from Joann Fabrics. Aqua Blue Stipe Burnout-Look Shirting by Maggy London was purchased from Fabric Mart and the white polyester puff-textured fabric came from a consignment shop.

These are some of the pictures from my trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Granny Break! Date Outfit!

McCall's 7191 Semi-fitted, pullover tops have self -lined yoke back, back hemline variations, and narrow hem. View C has shaped hemline and gathered back.

 Fabric: Ivory crepe with chiffon

Line Drawing

Instead of using the facings, white lightweight blouse lining was used as an underlining on the front and upper back. White chiffon was doubled, gathered. and serged at the hemline. Both front and back were turned and topstitched 1/4 inch.
I did topstitch the front with crème thread and the back chiffon with white thread.

I need to check reviews and see if anyone mentioned lowering the bust darts or is everything 60 as it need to be lowered and I will not tell how much as I'm embarrassed.

Pants: McCall's 6247 with not alterations
Fabric: Purple/Burn Umber/Multi Textured Medallions Print ITY Knit from Fabric Mart.

I did go back and lower the pant legs by 1 inch.

All three grandchildren will return for another week on tomorrow. Let's pick up the pace!

Perfect Florida Palms

Simplicity 4149 Misses or Plus Size Skirt, Pants, Tunic Top and Scarf

This OOP pattern has been housed for a few years. I thought it would be perfect for this fabric which I purchased from Fabric Mart a few months ago. Since tunics are the trend I'm making several to enjoy during  my travels.

Although I had plans to make a pair of white pants, my friend and I were shopping and ran across these pants for a steal so we both purchased a pair.

This is a nice weight cotton and fun to sew.  I'm pleased with it, but knits are my favorites. It all about the fit.

Fabric: Red-Orange/Emerald Green/Multi Palm Trees Cotton Print 42W
I purchased 3 yards which was perfect for print placement. As far as alterations - shortened the sleeves and added side slits.
