One Hour Maxi

Patterns: McCall's 8108 is an old pattern that was purchased for 20 cents. It's a one hour dress in two lengths with short sleeves or sleeveless.

Fabric: Hot Pink/Black/White Large Abstract Print ITY Knit from Fabric Mart. I love the large print and the striking colors.

Alterations: Simplicity 1280 view D hem was used on this dress.

This was a perfect dress for my trip as it's relaxing and non-constricting! I wore a maxi each day including this and this . We had loads of fun.

So, it has the perfect pattern and colors

Pattern: Butterick 5982 MISSES'/MISSES' PETITE DRESS AND BELT: Dress has close-fitting, lined bodice, side front seams, pleated and gathered skirt, back zipper, and belt with bow, knot and Velcro® closing. A/B, C D cup sizes.
Okay, this is a shower curtain that includes the bronze that matches my shoes and purse. It's a little hard for me to leave this pattern as it is fitting perfectly into my life right now.

Why am I feeling as if these Spring outfits should have been completed and that I should not be rushing to add to my wardrobe. Yes, I make a lot of church outfits, but I do need some casual outfit to wear on dates with the hubby.
Simplicity 1699  Jacket revisited in cotton sateen. I have enough fabric left for a dress or pants.

Inspiration Maxi Dress/Cardi Jacket

When I saw this Bassa Maxi dress at http://www.igigi.com/plus-size-dresses/  it made me think of a piece of multi-colored chiffon housed in my stash. I only had about 1 1/2 yards.

The bodice was created from M6322 without the darts. Black polyester faille from Fabric Mart was used for the bodice and the lining. The fabric gave the dress a nice weight.

I didn't want to use a polyester lining fabric because I thought it might become a little sticky in the heat. I would have liked to use the black lawn fabric, but didn't have enough.  A headband was made to match.

The chiffon fabric was measured and sewn up the back. After fitting, I had to go back with 1/4 inch elastic and to make it a little more fitted.

This is the cardi wrap jacket from the previous post. It is from the same polyester knit faille fabric.

This is the back view.  I love the length of this jacket.

This outfit was created to wear on a date with my husband. He liked it and it was such an easy wearing outfit. In my jewerly box I found a bracelet with fuschia, black and cream.I found a fuschia chunky earring and necklace set for the next time.
