Shocking!

What a shock! I'm sewing away and have to keep stopping because the thread is wrapped around the bobbin. It took twice removing it to realize that something was missing. The bobbin case had falling apart! I found the screw. After finding it, I dropped it in my lap and couldn't find it. I crawled under the cabinet, swept everything into the dust pan and it wasn't there. Pure disbelief!
Thank goodness for my backup baby. I live in a very small town so I don't know how long it'll take to locate one. There are several online. I found one that is a universal one. We'll see!

    1. I have tile on the floor, but I'm going to sweep again carefully and look under the closest things again.

  5. I've had this happen to me too! Searching high and low for something that must be there and not finding it. The funny thing is that it usually turns up right under my nose when I'm no longer looking! I have to tell you, you have a very groovy looking machine. What brand is it?

    1. The machine is a Singer 500A. I think it is a 1957.

    2. Ooooh, very nice! There's nothing like a good solid older model machine!

    3. Thanks Sue! I just installed an invisible zipper using it. It is much quieter than my newer machine.
