Lace Print Knit

Pattern: Butterick 4132 view A top lengthened to dress length. MISSES’/MISSES’ PETITE TOP AND BELT: Unlined, loose-fitting, below waist, pullover top has cowl-neck. A, B: sleeveless. C, D: short sleeve. D: sleeve slits. E: long bell sleeves. B, E: side seam slits. B: self belt.


Sizes: 8 -24
Fabric: Green/Black Lace Print ITY Knit 60W purchased from Fabric Mart.


Alterations: Added 20 inches to top A to make it dress length.
B4132, Misses'/Misses' Petite Top and Belt



















Jacket Pattern: Simplicity 2574 Threads Collection. Misses' & Plus Size dress or top, pants, jacket, scarf and knit cardigan sewing pattern.
 
This is a very comfortable outfit. It would be nice to have several more.

  4. beautiful dress & jacket Dot! doyou always use petite patterns? I shy away from them because retail petite doesn't fit me right except the skirts but have thought of trying them since I have to hack up all my patterns lol! & you made a dress from a blouse pattern how clever is that!, I am going to try to apply what Ive learned here today lol!

    1. Thanks Helen! When purchasing patterns I've never thought of checking for petites as I have to lengthen most of them. Most patterns need the bodice adjustment. I always have to check for sleeve width. I do have a dress pattern that I'd like to make into a top. As you can tell, I've gotten brave enough to purchase thrift store patterns that are not in my size and do the adjustments. Have fun!
