It's a Croc!

Pattern: McCall's 5987 unlined coat with attached "scarf" collar, two-piece sleeves and pockets. I works best with double sided fabric.

 Sizing: 8-22

Fabric: Chocolate Crocodile Embossed Polyester/Lycra Velour from Fabric Mart

Alterations: The scarf was folded together at the end and turned for a finished look. It has serged fronts and bottom.

Hat: Simplicity 4025 completed using serger.

This is an exciting coat. My girlfriend's eyes lit up when I entered the room. She loved it. It is one of my favorites and I don't know why it took so many years for me to make it. Yes, I'm willing to allow another into my life.

Life is much more fun with a sewing machine and a little bit of creativity!

  1. I LOVE THAT COAT!!! My kinda style all the way--and the hat is the frosting on the cake. I have that same fabric in my stash. So nice to see what others are making with the same fabric.

    1. It's good to be back. Of course, I was still sewing, but not as much for myself. Thanks for the compliment.
