Pattern: Butterick 4747 skirt with back vent, zipper, and button.
Fabric: White polyester poplin from Vogue Fabrics online and white polyester lining. This time the lining was stitched all the way around the vent. Of course I had to watch an online video to prepare for the installation.
Four inches was added to the length of the skirt. All of the seams were sewn and then serged. There is nothing new about this pattern as it is a traditional skirt that's made using an OOP pattern.
The jacket is the one from the previous post using OOP pattern McCall's 8021. http://sewingfunthings.blogspot.com/2014/08/what-other-color-but-white.html
My brother had surgery on his finger therefore I do not have pictures wearing the skirt.

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, I saw that white is the color this summer. That surely does work for me since I need to wear it so often. Now, I need to make some white for casual wear. Actually, I have on a white ITY knit tank that I made.
Deletecute skirt! then everything you make is awsome! & you inspire us so! I recently bought a bluejean skirt guess you could call it a pencil as it hits me just below my knees which I've not shown that much leg in years! maybe I'll post about it later ha ha! love all of your creations & you always look fabulous!

Helen thank you! Although I added 4" to this skirt, it's not as long as usual. It's about 27 inches. I'll keep checking for your blue jean skirt post.
DeleteMy daugther has warned me that everyone should have a white skirt in their wardrobe, Your skirt is so nice. Maybe I will get to making one for Spring 2015. Happy Stitching, Regina.
