A Shorter Version of Tunic/Pants

Pattern: Tops Butterick 3030 view A shortened to hip length Scuba knit from Fabric Mart

This is the same top here. I like this top so much that I made one more. I also have plans to use this pattern for some Spring/Summer tops.

Pants: Simplicity 2190 Flocked Varigated Denim from Fabric Mart

Pant Alterations:  Front band was reduced by one inch
Removed two inches from outer and inner leg
*This pattern does run large. After making adjustments, I thought "I'd never make this pant again, but we'll see. I do like the fit.

  2. Both tops are beautiful! It's amazing how a change of fabric can make the same top look totally different.

    1. Thank you! I haven't made the top with different color sleeves. They can be really cute.

  3. It's always great to have a go to top pattern - for just those occasions when you want to make something up quickly that you know works. Both of these look lovely.

    1. Glad you're back. I understand as I've been sewing more for charity with a group at church.
